A large number of literary texts can be downloaded free from the internet, to be read on your computer screen, or printed out. Many come in txt format which can be loaded into a word processor. Some come in html format which can be read like web pages, or converted into txt. Some have their own formats which require special software, such as Microsoft Reader, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Palm Reader, and TomeRaider, which have versions for PCs, and in some cases Macs, as well as for palm-tops.
